How does the randomizer work?
We use the Fisher-Yates shuffle algorithm, which is mathematically proven to generate a completely unbiased and fair random distribution.
What happens if the names cannot be divided equally?
The remainder is automatically distributed evenly across the generated groups. For example, dividing 10 people into 3 groups will result in two groups of 3 and one group of 4.
Is my list of names saved?
Your list is temporarily saved in your browser's local storage so you don't lose it if you accidentally refresh the page. No data is ever sent to our servers.
