Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Is my image uploaded to any server?
Not at all. The entire compression, resizing, and format conversion process happens entirely within your web browser (using HTML5 Canvas). We do not store or transmit your images.
What is WebP and why should I use it?
WebP is a modern image format by Google that provides superior lossless and lossy compression for images. WebP images are typically 25-35% smaller than comparable JPEG and PNG images, making your website load much faster.
What is the difference between 'Cover' and 'Contain'?
Cover mode crops the image to perfectly fill the selected aspect ratio (you can drag the image to reposition the focal point). Contain mode keeps the entire image visible and adds padding if the aspect ratio does not match.
How do I get the smallest possible file size?
To achieve the smallest size: select WebP format, lower the Quality slider to 60-70, and reduce the Width/Height if the original image is excessively large (like a 4K photo).
